Program Overview 

Group Description

The A Life In Balance® Emotional Mastery DBT Skills Training Group is a therapist-led, virtual Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills program focused on practical skill development and real-life application.

This group teaches the four core DBT skill modules:
  • Mindfulness – building awareness and presence

  • Distress Tolerance – navigating crises without making things worse

  • Emotion Regulation – understanding and managing intense emotions

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – communicating needs and setting boundaries effectively

Participants learn through a variety of engaging, clinically sound methods, including:

  • Multimedia instruction

  • Group discussion

  • Breakout activities

  • Role plays

  • Worksheets and skill guides

  • Real-time skills application​

All sessions are live on Zoom and recorded for make-up viewing when needed.
